These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WebWarden, a WordPress security monitoring dashboard and companion plugin (together, the “Service”), provided by WebWarden (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
WebWarden provides a dashboard that receives security event data from WordPress sites running the WebWarden Connector plugin, along with malware scanning, alerting, remote action, and reporting features described on our website.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
WebWarden is offered on a subscription basis. Billing is handled through Freemius, where you can update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your subscription. Fees are billed in advance and are not refundable except where required by law.
You are responsible for having the legal right and appropriate authority to connect any WordPress site to WebWarden, including any client site you manage on behalf of another party. You are responsible for informing your own clients about how you use WebWarden to monitor and manage their sites, where applicable.
WebWarden allows certain actions to be taken directly from the dashboard on a connected site, including trashing or restoring posts, blocking user accounts, blocking IP addresses, and updating plugins or themes. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming any remote action before it is taken. WebWarden logs these actions automatically for your records.
Malware removal and website hardening services requested through a support ticket are provided by the WebWarden team as part of your subscription, subject to reasonable use. We aim to resolve tickets promptly but do not guarantee a specific resolution time for every issue.
You agree not to use WebWarden to:
The Service integrates with certain third party tools, including Freemius, Sucuri, Slack, and Calendly, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the applicable third party’s own terms.
WebWarden and its dashboard, plugin, branding, and content are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service beyond the right to use it as intended.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work to detect and help resolve security issues on connected sites, we do not guarantee that the Service will catch every threat or that any site will be free of vulnerabilities.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WebWarden is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages related to a security incident on a connected site that was not detected or resolved as expected.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
